Max - Therapy Power

HSSV's Max
Meet eight-year-old  Max. He can be anyone therapy dog, his calming energy is very powerful. We walked passing by barking dogs, chatty people, honking cars. After we sat in my photo shooting spot, and were just seating together and enjoying Friday afternoon sunshine.

Zippy - New Agility Sports Future Champion

HSSV's Zippy
Zippy is 11-month-old puppy. He came to shelter as a stray dog, very energetic handsome guy, ready to play anytime you want or don't want. He wants to learn lots of new staff. Keeping him mentally busy will tired him out perfectly. Agility class definietely is what his new pack leader should consider as a must.

Oso - Another Hypnotizer

HSSV's Oso, checking with Betty if she is paying attention to him (another Diamond Dog Volunteer)
Oso is eight-month-old puppy. Oso is very calm dog, he walks very nice on leash and was checking with Betty (another Diamond Dog Volunteer) all the time. His eyes are beautiful, so he was sure she was paying attention either. In the noon sunshine his coat looked so shiny, and healthy.

He got infected with whipworm by ingesting food or water contaminated with whipworm eggs. Now he is under treatment, and soon he should be free of his new whip-buddies.

HSSV's Oso is very gentle guy

Lucy is surprising everyone how fast dog can learn. Today she polished her skills going through the tunnel, running on A-frame platform, she learned jumps and she started with wave poles. She enjoyed bubbles.

Lucy - Once Upon a Time, a Beautiful, Smart Dog the Lucy...

There is a legend that, once upon a time, a beautiful, smart dog, the Lucy, lived on the highest, most solitary peaks of the HSSV. The visitor folks and volunteers climbed to the summits to admire her, and everyone fell head over heels in love with her.

Mocha - Attention Begger

Mocha is our HSSV Star. I fell in love with her :) (I think I am falling in love with all of them, but just between us)
HSSV's Mocha begging for attention with her bautiful "Watch Me"
Mocha's Foster Dad brought her again to HSSV. He is chasing all people around and asking them to meet Mocha. He doesn't want miss a single chance to find a perfect family for this lovely dog. Mocha looks so happy now. Her Foster Dad said that she likes sitting on her pillow and they watch tv together. She is always ready to go outside, and her best part of the day is driving in the car with her Foster Dad.
HSSV's Mocha loves people, she can do it for hours :)

Kaya - "excellent; good; pleasing" (ka) and "plains; field" (ya).

HSSV's Kaya

Kaya is a new pup in the Bubble. I don't know her story, but for sure she has some left behind. I don’t think so she will stay with us long, because she is very mellow, she walks beautiful on the leash and she wants make friends with everyone.

HSSV's Kaya "excellent; good; pleasing" (ka)

We went to play in the dog park. She is eager to play, but I am not sure if she knows how to. I was throwing things like freebees, tennis balls she run after them, and coming back toyless. I guess one day she will figure out it correct, and she can play endless hours with her future family.

Lucy and Her New Passion Dandelions?!

Lucy is greedy about anything she can collect. She usually collects cones, leaves, napkins, tennis balls, nylabones. So often I practice with her use of commands like “Leave It” and “Drop It”.

Today I discovered she likes to pick up… dandelions?!

While many people think of the dandelion (Taraxacum officinale) as a pesky weed, Lucy considers it as a valuable treat.

Yogi Rehabilitating Mocha

It is six months since we open our home to Yogi. It was not easy beginning. Especially that Yogi was very reactive to other dogs, lunging at them with vicious growl, and bark. We did lots of socialization Yogi with other dogs. Thanks to lots of people that they trusted Yogi and let him meet their dogs. Thanks to Renee letting Yogi meet Bella and Daisy, thanks to Eva meet Charlie, thanks to John meet Duke, thanks to Julek and Ania meet Kenny, thanks to Cindy meet Kelso, thanks to Karen meet Venus. Thanks to Dawna Caldwell Happy Tails to You showing us good paterns to follow when other dogs are around. Today was a big day, actually Yogi was rehabilitating Mocha. It is a great moment in Yogi's training. He is an example that with good structure, trust, tons of treats, love it is possible.
Thanks Everyone, who helps us to be where we are with Yogi now.
