Stanley - "Dogs Are Miracles With Paws"

HSSV's Stanley
Stanley is two-month-old Pit Bull Mix puppy. Silly, little guy, he is going to be a good size dog. He has mellow temperament, knows already commands "Sit" and "Watch Me". He loves fetching toys. I took him outside, but because he is not fully vaccinated, I had to carry him arround in my arms. We went outside to get little bit sunshine, we checked out dog's parks, fountain, benches, we met three-legged Peanut HSSV's Alumni. We couldn't talk too long to Peanut's Mom, beacuse Stanley started wiggling in my arms, so we had to back to his room.

Oso - Wonderful and Inspirational Soul

HSSV's Oso
Oso is our gentle, giant puppy. Today he was very calm, and nice. We did couple of games during our walk like walk and sit or find it, sit and watch me. He is the best puppy ever.
HSSV's Oso "Cheese..."
Animals are wonderful and inspirational souls. Uniting with a pet can greatly impact and enrich our lives, improving health, staving off loneliness, promoting emotional wellbeing, providing service, and even saving lives. A pet is a constant companion, and at times, the most important entity in someone’s life.

HSSV's Lucy
Lucy had great day. It was not too hot, so we went to dog park to play. Nice lady stopped by, and ask about "silly girl - Lucy", she loved Lucy's positive energy. Lucy played hide and seek at a tunnel, she did couple of runs through it, pole jumps, fetching, and swimming. All her action were observing by three people, again they liked Lucy, so I invited one lady to meet Lucy. Lady was asking lots of questions, so we had a nice conversation about dogs like Lucy.
HSSV's Lucy "Guess What she likes the most?
Lucy is getting crazy about tennis ball so I refocused her with agility tricks still she was trying entertain everybody with her ability to hold balls and at the same time eating cheese without loosing balls.

Oso Bubble Dog and Yogi ex-Bubble - Adopt a Rescued Dog

HSSV's Oso he will  blossom into loving companionship
Most rescue dogs have had a rough start. Because of this, they truly blossom into loving, confident companions in the right environment. When treated kindly, rescue dogs will form a lifelong bond with you and be forever grateful for their new happy life.

Oso is still waiting for family to love. He is my Bubble Sweetheart.
HSSV's Oso look into his eyes and you will get all answers you are looking for...
Yogi is with my family seven months. On the beginning he was handfull, showing agression to people, dogs. His transformation is amazing. Yesterday he started Graduate Dog Class with Dawna Caldwell at Happy Tails to You. He is our personal therapy dog, bond between him and my family is getting stronger every day.

Lucy, Mud, Scultpture Buddy, Her Balls Obsession and Wayne

HSSV's Lucy "Mommy do you see what I see?
Thunderstorms in SF Bay Area are unusual. Lots of rain came down. Today still we enjoyed little bit rain. I took Lucy for adventures at the creek. We stuck with mud on our paws, and huge puddles. Creek was like Colorado River, full of muddy water.
HSSV's Lucy with her sculpture buddy
After our muddy walk we came back to HSSV. Lucy didn't want stay in her room, but I had to leave her there, two hours later I picked her up again from her room. This time we did some "Seek and Score" training. It was her first time and she got it right away. On the end she was stealing boxes, and running around with big joy.
After training I took her to the dog park, were she like usual played collecting balls. We got a big collection this time.
HSSV's Lucy "Yes I can!"
HSSV's Lucy the most beautiful and smart shelter dog
At the dog park we got a visitor, Wayne our Diamond Dog Volunteer stopped by to say hello. Wayne is the most experienced dog handler, he is working with most challenging dogs, and always has some good advices. Thank You Wayne for all your wonderful volunteering work.

Libby - Good Luck Smarty Panty!

The greatest advantage to adopting a dog from a shelter is the satisfaction of rescuing that dog. There are millions of dogs that are stuck in shelters because their owners could not take care of them or abused them. Most of the dogs that end up in a shelter did not have a great life before they were sent to the shelter, and everyone knows that shelter life, although it may be a step up from their previous life, is not exactly a day at the doggy spa. Not only will adopting a pet from the shelter make you feel great about yourself for doing such a great thing, but you will also give a dog a better life.

Today Libby found her family to dance for. Good luck smarty panty! Hope your family loves your dancing skills :)

HSSV's Libby on April 2nd, 2012

HSSV's Libby and HSSV Diamond Dog Volunteer Jackie:
"I had the pleasure of introducing Libby to her new Mom, a sweet lady who was there with her elderly parents and their caretaker. So the whole family got to meet Libby and they fell in love with her. And Libby was quite smitten with her new Mom so it's a perfect match. Libby will be her Mom's first dog -- she has had cats before -- and she always wanted a small Chihuahua. I'm so happy for our sweet Libby and glad that Betty was there to take this picture and say her goodbyes --- it was bittersweet. Thanks for taking the picture, Betty!"
